I saw this and was truly inspired. I would definitely be proud to have that young man as a son, brother, cousin, etc. He is a wonderful example of why no one, including our government, should discriminate against same sex marriage/civil unions and their right to become parents. We need to abandon our archaic views on what a family is and focus on supporting those who really define the role of family. The faces of our society are composed of not only the nuclear family, but single parents, working parents, stay-at-home parents, gay or lesbian parents, divorced parents, and remarried parents. What saddens me is that there are so many people who fail to acknowledge how much has changed and to accept those changes as the new norm.
