This sounds wonderful... I have two boys: 5 and newly 3 (Thanksgiving!) For years I've been eyeing the Darda options at my favorite toy store (Top 10 Toys in Seattle!) but have never been able to make the commitment... the kit thing, like you said. I think this is something I will get my guys next year. I could see the 2 of them spending so much time with this one now, but I'd like to wait a year so the littlest can be a bigger participant. I am a big fan of independent use toys - stuff kids can take out themselves, use themselves, and put away themselves.
