JeepersMedia on Failed Dolls

Mike Mozart (aka JeepersMedia) is an fervent video blog toy reviewer on Youtube. He’s perhaps a little too fervent for me (see how each video ends), but he completely nails the pregnant Barbie doll that was released a few years ago…

I came across his Youtube channel initially with his review of a 1960s doll called Little Lost Baby. It’s good for a chuckle or two about 40 seconds in:

This weekend I’ll have a follow-up post about Bebé Glotón, the breastfeeding baby doll that has garnered a lot of attention (110 comments and rising) after it was profiled here three weeks ago.

The Three Faces baby doll actually looks kind of cool. But it is tough that this pretty much makes it so you can’t redress the doll over and over.

And can you believe the followup to the Nursing Doll? Wow.

(I thought the pregnant Barbie was cool too. But I won’t pay the now-asking prices)

When I was little, back in the 1940s, I had a doll that had a knob on her head and when you twisted the knob the face rotated to change from happy to sad…or something like that. Not unlike the Three Faces doll, but less high tech.
