Thinga-Appreciation Giveaway #24: Baby and Toddler Hair Accessories!

The Thinga-Appreciation contests are back!

Collage of 3 styles of baby and toddler hair clips featuring flowers and dragonflies, and one teddy bear style ponytail holder by Lil' Sugarplum.Lil’ Sugarplum will be giving away baby or toddler hair accessories each week to Thingamababy participants. Don’t have a daughter? Give a fellow parent your prize as a surprise gift, or, dammit, don’t let your little boy be constrained by gender roles!

Lil’ Sugarplum hair clips were reviewed on Thingamababy when my daughter was three, and boy was I happy to finally have a hair clip that stayed in her hair all day.

The Prize:

Each week of the contest, one winner will receive for free one item from the Lil’ Sugarplum website that has a retail value of $10 or less. Shipping charges are waived.

Alternately, if the winner chooses to buy items totaling $40 (exploiting the opportunity for free shipping), the winner will receive 2 free hair clips of their choice.

How to enter:

1) Visit the Lil’ Sugarplum website and find one item under $10 that you would love to win.

2) Post a comment on this contest page (using the form below) mentioning the name of the item as seen on the Lil’ Sugarplum website. Do this only one time. Include your e-mail address in the appropriate field of the comment box. Your address will not be published.

3) On a different page (not the contest page), using the same e-mail address as in step 2, post one additional comment anywhere on Thingamababy for each week of the contest.

You gain no advantage by posting a ton of comments in a given week. This contest rewards routine participation, not contest fanaticism.

Giveaway Schedule

  • August 11 to 19.
  • August 20 to 26.
  • August 27 to September 2.
  • September 3 to September 9.

How the winners are chosen:

Once a week I will select one comment on this contest page at random and if that person has posted another comment on a different Thingamababy page during the current week, the person wins. If not, I start over randomly selecting a different person.

Got that? Establish initial contest consideration with a one-time-only comment on the contest page, then post a regular comment somewhere else on Thingamababy during each week of the contest period to make yourself eligible each week.

Other Rules:

The contest is open to residents inside and outside* the United States. *Residents of the International Space Station excluded.

The contest will run for at least four weeks. If the contest period is extended, this page will be appended with additional giveaway days.

Lil’ Sugarplum will be given the e-mail addresses of selected winners to coordinate prize delivery. Contacted winners must provide their shipping address to Lil’ Sugarplum for the purpose of shipping the prize. If you do not respond to the e-mailed winner announcement within 2 weeks, you will not receive a prize and no other winner will be selected for that week. I especially suggest Hotmail and Yahoo users diligently watch their spam filters. Come on, switch to Gmail already! (That’s advice, not a requirement.)

User comments may be deemed ineligible for consideration in this contest if they are identified as spam by my blog software or their nature is such that I would normally delete them myself due to their spammy or offensive nature.

Thanks for reading Thingamababy, and participating!

Neat contest. I’ve been out of the loop for a bit, but time to get back in.

I actually subscribed for updates a while back to her site because of your review. The clips are all too cute.

My favorites are the baby clips because my daughter has little hair and these might actually just work. I love the butterflies, dragonflies, and ladybugs. They are all so adorable.

I like the dragonflies hairclips, and I know my daughter would too. Maybe she’d even let me brush her hair without howling in order to put one in…

My daughter would go crazy for the doggy hairclips. The only problem would be convincing her to leave them in her hair instead of taking them out to admire.
