Can you identify this baby room art?

Photo of two canvas paintings of a cartoonish blue winged insect and a red ladybug.

My wife nabbed these two canvas bug paintings for my son’s room last week for $2 at a garage sale. They have no identifiable markings, are 16″x20″ and seem really familiar. They are not signed, so I trust they are mass-produced. Does anyone know of a website that sells these paintings?

See previously: Can you Identify this Baby Mobile? You guys identified that fish mobile two hours after I posted it at 2 a.m. I have high hopes for my bugs being identified.

I love them, but don’t recognize them at all… sorry!
Have you considered having your wife go back and ask the seller where they got it from? They might remember.

They look a lot like David Carter’s work.
He did Alpha Bugs and Feely Bugs (my toddler’s favorite book) but he’s really well known for his pop up books.
I know he does license his illustrations, as he did the wallpaper in our pediatrician’s office. You can check out his web site (and contact him at) http://www.popupbooks.com/

They look kind of like the bugs from the cartoon ‘Mrs. Spider’s Sunny Patch’
