What will they come up with next?!?!
a bike that feeds and burps the kid too?
the inventor must have had way to much time on his hands to come up with this one

Open adapter - fantastic idea. Recently saw a guy who was capturing rain water and using a stationary bike to run a sprinkler system and water his lawn.

There's also a chain of Fitness Clubs that uses group powered bikes to run it's power and even 'sell' energy back to the power company.

We need more 'people power'.

There's some tv show with a famous dude... it's called Living with Ed or something like that. Anyhoo, the guy powers his bread toaster with a stationary bike. I'd say one that powers a TV is probably available if you really really want it. :)

I don't know how useful the exercise-bike and ice-cream-maker combo would be, but it sounds like a lovely, lovely thing. (Seriously, though, the open-ended adapter sounds awesome, especially if you could use it when power goes out.)
