What a great imagination you both have! My daughter also decided to fool the tooth fairy, but got a little different results. If she put in something that was not a tooth, she got back something that was not money. Her contributions: a white rock (hmmm, a theme here), the peg from a Light Bright, a bean. The tooth fairy delivered: a polished rock, a silk tassel, plastic gold coin. The tooth fairy eventually started having trouble delivering things she had not picked up in other parts of the house (the Polly Pocket shoe did not go over well), and her response slowed from over night to a several day delay. Once a real tooth arrived, substitutes were never again accepted. We did have a lot of fun, although it was demonstrated (again) that kids have more persistence than their parents.

Thanks for bringing back this memory - and good work on tying in writing practice!
