Winner: Snappy Comeback Contest

Lo and behold, we have a winner in the Snappy Comeback to a Stupid Demand Contest. (Remember, the one about creating a fictional public breastfeeding incident.)

Allison from Madison, Wisconsin was offered first prize with this entry:

Rude stranger:  Please could you not do that in front of me?
Mama: Why? Is it making you hungry?

But alas, Allison declined the prize. That’s the last time I hold a contest advocating unshielded public breastfeeding and offer a Peanut Shell Pink Couture Nursing Cover as the prize. *shaking fist in air*

So congratulations to CJ from Jax Beach, Florida who won second place and will receive the prize. She says she has a friend who could use a little covering up. CJ sent in this exchange:

Stranger in a restaurant: I don’t want to have to see that while I eat.
Mama: If seeing other people eat bothers you so much, maybe you shouldn’t visit public restaurants.

There were a ton of funny entries, but there’s only one Peanut Shell in my possession, and so it goes. Thank you to everyone who provided their creative input.

    WTG Winners!!

And WTG Alison for NOT perpetuating the myth that mama’s need to cover up with blankets while nursing. More like people just need learn to look the other way!!

Thank you for doing this. As a mama still nursing her 13 month old, really thank you!

p.s. I was given a beautiful Bebe eu lait (aka Hooter Hider), and though it is gorgeous, I don’t use it. And I feel bad donating it to charity. So use as a changing pad. :\
