Week Two: Nature Photo Contest

Week 2 Theme: Nature (outdoor photos only). Yep, it’s a broadly defined theme. I won’t give you examples, lest I taint your interpretation.

E-mail one original photo (or a link to one) of your child or children on the stated theme with an e-mail subject of “Photo contest.” My e-mail address can be found in the upper right column of this page. Two winners will be selected by my wife and I based on whatever strikes our fancy.

The deadline: 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, Pacific Time.

The prize: Two winners take home Scholastic’s Treasury of 20 Storybook Classics 4-DVD set.

“Twenty award-winning and classic children s stories are faithfully adapted and brought to live in this 4-DVD collection.

From Karma Wilson’s best-sellers Bear Snores On and Bear Wants More, to the Beverly Clearly classic The Mouse and the Motor Cycle, parents and children alike are sure to enjoy these storybook treasures, featuring celebrity narration by by Sean Hayes, James Naughton, B.D. Wong and others.”

Our nature theme is inspired by He’s Got the Whole World in his Hands… And More Stories to Celebrate the Environment, one of the DVDs included in this pack.

Nitty Gritty Details:

The contest is open only to residents of the United States or Canada (your shipping address must be in the US or Canada). The DVDs are in Region 1 formatting (you guessed it, viewable only for US and Canadian DVD players).

You, the photo submitter, must be the pictured child’s or children’s parent or legal guardian. Submitted photos may be published on Thingamababy with a “Thingamababy.com” watermark and mention of your first name, but you otherwise retain rights to the photo and your privacy. The names of the hometowns (no street addresses) of the two winners will be published. I’m not responsible for e-mails not received, and all that legal jargon. Let’s keep this simple and fun, eh?
