not sure about this product with our first daughter we also used water (maybe 2004 ws a simpler time with less worries about germs and such) most places have some...it is like a liquid type stuff that comes out of silvery metal type faucets... for my triplets we got a prince lionhart pacifier sprayer thingee (http://www.safetyed.org/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=131) that utilized water and mouthwash to kill germs...that we got as a gift...I think I used it once as the trips hated pacifiers after about 1.5 months and spent alot of the time at a NICU and then hardly went out...I guess was suppose to worry more about germs with the trips because they were born premature. now I am rambling again...bottom line I would not buy such a product.

I can only take so much of germs and phobias of them! Haven't they discovered that using too many anti-bacterial things like gels, handwashes, etc.,only cause us to pick up more germs?!
Thanks,Cindi

I like to believe that picking off the fuzzies and then blowing on it magically cleanses my daughter's binky of all unkind germs when rinsing is not available and the back-up binky is dirty or at home. As for the product, I like it, but I want it for free. Call me stingy, I don't care. And AJ, wouldn't little sterile germy corpses be better than active germies?

6 minutes! Yikes.

Generally, when the pacifier falls on the floor, it gets rinsed off under water and then popped back in the baby's mouth. 6 minutes isn't going to do it. Can you imagine the baby's distress by then?

I'm with you on using water, which is also available almost anywhere you go. We also always carry an extra pacifier on the road, but, in a pinch (when both have been dropped and no water's handy), a baby wipe works too.
