Random Ramblings
That’s 2-month-old Little Brother in a Bugaboo stroller on loan for an upcoming article, Bugaboo: Is it really worth it? The "it" being the price. Yeah, the title needs work. The boy is sporting a Hawaiian shirt to match his family members this past weekend. The other photo is him in our Maya Wrap.
We spent much of the weekend watching the 40th annual Kinetic Sculpture Race (aka Kinetic Grand Championship). Think the coolest parade floats you’ve ever seen, except these ones really do float, and traverse sand dunes and roads of course… on human pedal power alone… for three days in a race where being the first across the finish line is not really the point. They compete for the glory. Translation: to have fun.
The above dragon, The Biking Viking, is a retooling of last year’s Armored Carp by Duane Flatmo. The dragon’s head moves and chomps, and the sculpture almost pivots on a dime, much like a jogging stroller (notice the single rear wheel). If there’s interest, I’ll dig out more photos. You can also read last year’s recap.
So, as I said, the family is pooped today. In lieu of a long article, check out the tantalizing answer to last week’s game question, "What was the inventor thinking?" You folks didn’t compete for prizes, just glory. Thanks for that.

Love Little Brother’s little grin in the Bugaboo pic! Can’t believe he’s 2 months old already.

Oh my look how big he is already! Amazing! What a darling. Looks like he fell asleep in the wrap and you managed to transfer him to a bed – I remember those days! That float is absolutely amazing as well. Fun times!

He’s so tiny! Or at least he looks that way. How does Big Miss like being Big Sister?

Big Sister is doing well with Little Brother. I may write about it, though I’m not sure how noteworthy it is.
