Hello, Congratulations to your family on the new addition of your son! I have two sons and I think they are the berries. I have never heard of the toys you speak of today! My first son would never had paid attention to these type of toys, but my second son probably would have. He can amuse himself with about anything. Cindi

I have to agree with Melissa. If someone gave it to me for free I'd take it, but I wouldn't spend my own money on it. Part of the reason kids play with our stuff is that it looks different from their stuff, it's real, and it's Mom's or Dad's personal stuff and they want to be like us. Grabbing my necklace or the real bracelet around my wrist is what she wants, not me strapping her toys around myself. Plus, call me vain, but I don't really want to don giant fleece stuff in public when I know my daughter won't do much with it and I'm likely to forget I'm wearing it. I'd end up going somewhere by myself with it on and just look silly.

I think it would be a hit and miss favorite. My kids never liked those tiny wrist rattles that are so cute and popular, but I've heard of babies who loved them. All three of my kids loved those dangly legged creatures that hung from their baby gym, and I just picked up a few extras of those and carried them around in my purse. I do the same thing now, just my boys have graduated to cars and trains, and my daughter likes the little LEGO Duplo guys. Go figure.

I have to say that even if I wore one of those, the first things my 10 month old daughter would still go for are my necklace and then my hair. She has no interest in "baby" toys when there are "real" things around that are much more interesting. I guess that goes along with the earlier baby toys post that said don't waste $$ on baby toys when there are wooden spoons and keys that are just as interesting!! :)
