We too used the Fisher Price Healthy Care Booster Seat.... But onyl after having a second ahnd VERY old high chair for our first daughter that was...well... SOOOO gross! *L* When our second came along we decided to buy the handy booster seat mostly because it travelled well... Which we do a lot of.

This chair thing is a great idea! Thank you for writing about it, otherwise I would have never known such a thing exists! We're moving into a new house and are getting rid of the kid table and chair set that our girls have grown up eating at.... They do fine out and about and such. but if this coudl make life easier at our new table set, why not!??!

we have the kaboost for our 18m old son. it is great, since he would not stay in a booster seat. we love it, and it is not too high for him to be unable to climb up!

I just received the Kaboost Chair yesterday from Babiesrus.com. My 2 1/2 year old daughter loves it! She thinks she is such a big girl. It is really easy to put together, and the chair is really sturdy. I would definitely recommend this.
Thank you AJ for reviewing this product. I am so glad I purchased it.

Nicole-it is possible to remove the safety straps from the Tripp Trapp, although somewhat difficult. The shoulder/waist strap can be unscrewed from the back rest piece to which it is attached. The crotch strap is held in place by a tension clip inside a plastic housing on the underside of the seat, it is easiest to remove if you slide the seat out from the frame and place it upside down on a counter or table. There is a metal tension clip that looks like a paperclip bent out of shape (or like the clips that hold wireless cards into a laptop), use a flat head screwdriver or butter knife to pry the clip out of place and you will be able to remove the strap. And the Kaboost actually works well with the Tripp Trapp, so wasn't a surprise to me that it works with your unusual chairs AJ.

This looks like a great product! Definitely something to consider down the road for us. We bought the original Stokke Kinderzeat for our older son (3 1/2) and LOVE it. He's been sitting in that since he was 14 months old... what I love is the adjustable footrest. Apparently there was a study done at Cornell that concluded that kiddos are less fidgety if they can plant their feet on 'the ground' and they can sit for longer periods. E. is never fidgety at the table and I totally attribute it to the chair! Without hesitation we bought the newest model: The Trip Trapp and we are not happy with it... we ordered it and didn't realize the chair now comes with, in our opinion, overkill on the safety straps. Over the shoulders and lap... and you can't remove it. Plus they slapped a giant safety/warning sticker across the back of it that has proven impossible to remove... We bought the first chair before its imitators came along but it was worth every penny! I do like the Kaboost for friends & outings. Thanks again, AJ, for an awesome product lead =)

I like this! My daughter uses a booster at home, but when we go out to eat (which is rare, but still...) she insists on sitting in the chair like a big girl. No high chair, no booster. Which means big mess for me to clean up sometimes, since her face and the table are about at the same level. The portability of the Kaboost, in addition to the fact that it works and is designed sturdily, makes me wanna run to Target. Thanks!

3.5 yrs old and already sitting in the adult chairs - very cute! Urrrr, she would probably prefer I say very mature. :-)

We are using the FP space saver high chair (but keep the FP Healthy Care booster seat in the car for restaurants). But this device looks cool. I will recommend it for my short friends too!
