&lt;p&gt;I DID write: &quot;On average, kids walk around 12-months-of-age...&quot;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I kept the word &quot;average&quot; because it&#039;s a concise and honest word. Parents who track their baby&#039;s milestones are accustomed to their kids being anything but average.&lt;/p&gt;
