There are a lot of ways I’m raising my daughter differently from how I was raised, but I don’t harbor resentment toward my parents. What’s the point? Everyone’s childhood is messed up. Except in cases of mental/sexual abuse, I say it’s time to own your shortcomings.

It's nice to have goals to aim for. We went for building self-confidence and I have recently been told that we didn't prepare (#1 son) for the realities of life because we were too supportive. Therapy is involved. Makes me wonder what the point of it all is, sometimes. Can't win for losing.</p> I dunno. It’s nice to have goals to aim for.
