Stuffed Animals: You Think that’s Strange? Try this!

Let’s explore another experimental contest format. Complete the sentence “You think that’s strange? Try this — and follow it with information about a real stuffed animal and a link to the real product. Your prize is the glory heaped upon you by your fellow parents.

You think that’s strange? Try this… Albert by the French company Anima.

Photo of a stuffed animal that has a black bread loaf-like body, white accented eyes, white eyebrow tufts, long brown rabbit-like ears, a brown tubular wide flute-like noise, tiny short brown feet and a long brown tail with a knot in it.

Translation via Google Translate: “A strange animal in cuddly toy!  A long nose — even a face mask — and a tail a length inversely proportional to that of the nose! (it is normal, if one pulls on the nose, it lengthens with the detriment of the tail — and vice versa!)” For kids 6 months and up.

(A better translation from a French speaker is welcome.)

Post in the comment section about a strange stuffed animal you’ve seen online. Or maybe you have a “normal” one that has taken on a strange existence in your home. Do share.

    Tasmanian Devil.

The stuffed version is so much cuter than the real thing. Devils look like a cross between a rat and a bear cub, and make most awful sound in the world. It’s so bad it doesn’t sound real, but it is.

They’re all “art” though, not sold in stores.

Gummo! He’s like Domokun, all mouth, and has a bubble gum walking stick. You have to love a stuffed animal that looks like he’s about to eat you.

I’m actually not sure which is weirder – the brain cell or some of the other ones on giantmicrobes.com. (For the record we have 9 of these, starting with giardia as that’s what my wife works on).
