Worldmapper: A Look at Global Childhood Statistics
Worldmapper is a web site filled with world maps depicting countries resized based on various statistical topics.
For example, the International Fast Food map sizes country borders by the number of McDonald’s restaurants located in each one. America is obese while Africa is dangling by a thread.
The service is a collaboration between professors at the University of Sheffield and University of Michigan. The site has more than 350 maps and I’ve selected a few child and parent-oriented maps to pique your interest. Click a map to learn more about it.
