Where do you do your baby browsing?

I want to know what  forums, blogs, and other web sites you visit for baby and parenting discussions, news, products, you name it. If you have your own baby blog, throw that in too. Share your bookmarks via the comment link below.

I’ll be posting my newest favorite links in this center column. Here’s your chance to do the same.

Since you offered, a shameless pitch:

Z Recommends (zrecs.com) focuses on kids’ product reviews but also shares our extremely limited parenting experience. We are not a window-shopping blog in that we are users of almost all products we link to. We also feature DIY toy projects, round up kids’ product recalls on a monthly basis, and have started doing monthly product giveaways (last month we gave away a Laptop Lunch system, and we just lined up this month’s giveaway, which we’ll announce in a couple weeks).

Toyinstructions (toyinstructions.net): We launched a wiki a couple of weeks ago that collects deep links to product instructions, building guides and user manuals for kids’ toys and games online. We are encouraging contributors to link out to instructions they have scanned and posted to Flickr or other photo sharing services as well. It’s a fledgling site, but we’re excited about the possibilities.

Of the blogs I don’t know if you’ve seen (leaving out ones in your current blogroll) I read ecochildsplay (natural kids’ stuff) because it is very targeted. I like Parentography a lot and need to start contributing. I like parent crafter blogs too and my favorites are Shisomama (shisomama.wordpress.com) and Happy Things (happythings.typepad.com).

There are a lot of other parenting blogs I read to keep abreast of the “conversation,” some great, some pretty bad. But those are the standouts.

(we’re a little biased) is, of course, our favourite parent review blog. Not just “hey, this is cool” but reviews of stuff we’ve actually tried. We have giveaways most days, too!

I love thingamababy (so thanks for that!) as well as parenthacks.

I just started my blog, and I,m not sure where it is going, so far I feel a bit preachy, but starting next week I will be posting weekly new york thrift store finds and some (hopefully) cool upcycling projects. I’m also offering design consultation/organizational help for NY parents-to-be. Though again still getting everything up & running.

I check three sites every day, thingamababy of course and the two others are parenthacks.com for just plain old good advice that you’d think would be obvious to most parents but sometimes just isn’t for some reason and babygadget.net for good ideas of things we all dream of buying for our kids. not necessarily the cheapest gifts but something for every budget and always cute things.

Baby / parenting blogs I read:

    http://www.babygadget.net/
    http://www.gnmparents.com/
    http://hamelife.com/
    http://inthetrenchesofmotherhood.com/
    http://www.parenthacks.com/

Plus I’ve got my own blog which, while not exactly a baby blog, has had a lot of baby posts recently. But it’s a personal blog so I write about my experiences raising a child (as well as completely unrelated topics), not about parenting tips.

Thanks for the above plug from Z Recs, and right back at you, as one of my favorite parenting blogs.

    http://www.ecochildsplay.com
Ecochildsplay is my blog reviewing natural toys and products for children, all of them tried out by my family. In addition, other health related issues and their eco alternatives are discussed. We are new bloggers and enjoying the positive feedback thus far.

One I’ve recently started reading is http://scrumdillydo.blogspot.com/index.html, which has lots of activity ideas. I like http://suburbanturmoil.blogspot.com/ for a humorous take on parenting and step-parenting (the comments can get quite rowdy). I like to read http://www.forward.com/sections/the-east-village-mamele/ at the Jewish Forward, even though I’m not Jewish (but I love the Yiddish words occasionally found in these twice-a-month essays). I read Parenthacks every day. And finally (blush) like everyone else I have started my own blog, about the books that I read to my kids, as well as the ones that I read. You can check it out at http://www.stlmom.blogspot.com/
Thanks everyone for your suggestions – there are some here that I haven’t seen before.
