Washington Post Parenting Newsletter

L. Carol Ritchie, writer for the Washington Post, lavished external validation upon Thingamababy with a couple references this week. The usual suspects are there too, Daddy Types, Laid-Off Dad and Rebel Dad.

I don’t know why (or if) this attention matters more than a blogger or other web site linking to Thingamababy. I suppose there’s a certain gravitas in being able to say “as seen in the Washington Post.” But of course, I wasn’t. Sorry Grandma. I’m talking about an electronic newsletter. It’s kind of like a blog, except a week’s worth of content is stuffed into one post and delivered by e-mail. But for those of you who subscribe to blogs via e-mail, well, there’s not much difference.

As bloggy newsletters go, this one is worth checking out. Here’s the full text of this week’s issue.

You can subscribe to the newsletter by visiting the newsletter subscription page, creating an account, and then selecting “Parenting” under the “News for Life” heading.

Glad to see the Post offering some balance to Leslie Morgan Steiner’s anti-man parenting shtick. Good for you getting more virtual ink on the blog too!
