My grandpa was raised without the polio vaccine and survived to become a parent.

"I turned out just fine without it" isn't an argument no matter the subject.

For me personally, I don't like my baby slathering his tongue along a handle touched by numerous other people (hand-to-hand-to-mouth or hand-to-object-to-mouth or mouth-to-object contact being a major cause of illness), not to mention rust, dried gum and any number of unidentifiable goey stains that may be within reach of my infant's mouth or hand (then mouth). A good cart cover also comes with padding for the few times the kid slams his head face-forward into the metal handle. And it should have a pocket where you store snacks, a sippy and whatnot.

My kid gets his healthy dose of germs from plenty of other sources, just not from a shopping cart.

Hi. I am not sure why anyone needs a shopping cart liner. We were all raised without them and survived to become parents. Why are they necessary now? Just curious -- L.

Hi there. I hope you can shed some light on this issue for me... I actually love the ease of use of this cover, but I have a problem with it that maybe someone can tell me how to fix. The back of the cover has a huge 2-foot opening for you attach the extra Bilby strap or the cart strap. However, when my 8-month old infant moves around, the opening gets exposed and his back/bottom area touches the cart or seat itself. Not a huge deal on shopping carts, but icky-sticky high chairs as well. Do I just sew the opening closed, leaving just enough room for straps? Or is there another option that I'm just oblivious to? Am I using it wrong??? Thanks in advance!

I was researching the bilby today. I saw one for sale used and wanted to see what it was. The bilby web site sells replacement seatbelts. I assume you can use one of these instead of the dirty cart belts.

Thank you!! I got a really awful version of one of these... there was no place to put my own hands so I could really grip the cart handle. I won't name names, but I'll try again with the Bilby.
